JUNETEENTH NASHVILLE PROJECT

VOTING, CITIZENSHIP, EDUCATION, HISTORY is what this website promotes. When Juneteenth Nashville Project, a nonprofit organization registered with the state of Tennessee, began in 2007 the celebration and history of Juneteenth was a centerpiece. However, Juneteenth itself was a key step moving the United States of America toward insuring and assuring that citizens of the USA have the rights of citizenship. On the heels of Juneteenth, (Emancipation Proclamation implementation), came the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. The 19th followed 55 years later. The full embrace of and active participation in voting is achievable for 21st century Americans.
